It amplifies my signal from 0-1 bar signal strength to 4-5 bars throughout my house, basement and near the house outside. The key to getting ANY amplifier to work properly is to have enough separation between the outdoor and the indoor antennas. I added the Yagi antenna (about $69) outside because it has higher gain which helps with the very weak signal at my home.
