The all new Bell Custom 500 Open-Face Motorcycle Helmet pays homage to Richter's original design and adds modern protective technology to bring the design up-to-date while still keeping the original's aesthetic. By combining a custom fiberglass lay-up with a specially designed EPS foam layer, Bell engineers were able to craft a motorcycle helmet that is at once lightweight, narrow in profile, and DOT-compliant. Adding custom paint-inspired graphics, chrome trim work and a quilted liner, the Bell Custom 500 Motorcycle Helmet looks as good as it performs. Custom fiberglass shell. Custom-quilted liner. Chrome trim (graphic dependent). Integrated snaps for aftermarket shields and visors. Padded chin strap with D-ring closure and strap keeper. DOT certified. Fire-year warranty. Love the helmet- fit and finish is superb. Fits tight (I'm a large) but a new helmet should. I'm clean-shaven bald so the criss-cross pattern makes me look like Pinhead from Hellraiser for a while after I take it off (cool). Does not lift up at highway speeds at all. No ear holes so kinda hard to hear your gilrfriend, which can be a good thing. Overall very pleased so far!
